If you're like Carolyn McArdle and you see people sneaking onto BART trains ALL THE TIME and not paying their fare, those days are (hopefully) about to come to an end as BART announced that, starting Thursday, police officers will be on platforms and trains checking to make sure you've paid your fare!
BART loses an average of $25 million dollars each year due to fare evaders!
