Carolyn McArdle scored and got to ride on one of the new MUNI cars the other day! It was a Sunnydale car heading outbound and she said the rumors are true! It's nice!
As you can see by the picture that she took, there are no more double seats up and down the aisles. They have been replaced by benches and as a result, there is a lot more room for standing now.
Also, the train is a lot quieter and there are upgraded tags posts for your Clipper card. She said the new trains are a HUGE improvement!
