CHP officers in Oakland received a call Monday afternoon about a goat that was apparently sprinting across all lanes of the I-880 freeway, and no one knew where it came from.
The goat was spotted near the 23rd Avenue onramp. It then ran through the southbound lanes to the western side of the freeway and hid underneath a big rig.
CHP used a makeshift leash and called Oakland Animal Control and they picked it up at the office.
Officers are stumped as to how or from where the goat escaped, and are now hoping its owners recognize it from their social media accounts or news reports.
