Netflix will reboot the true crime docuseries more than 30 years after it debuted on NBC. Stranger Things executive producer Shawn Levy is leading the revival through his company 21 Laps Entertainment.
According to the outlet, the revamped series will follow a similar format to the original: using documentary-style re-enactments of real-life mysteries, such as unexplained history, cold case murders, missing persons, and paranormal events. The new Unsolved Mysteries will hit Netflix with 12 episodes, each of which will focus on only one mystery.
