Want $500? Come Up With A Slogan To Stop Illegal Dumping In San Francisco!

Illegal dumping in San Francisco has become such a big problem that the city's public works department is offering one Bay Area resident $500 to come up with a catchy slogan that they can use to discourage people from continuing to dump trash among other things around the city.

The city and recology department says they respond to an average of 6,800 requests for illegal dumping in a single month.

You have until March 8 to get your entry in and you can email it to contest@sfdpw.org .

The department asks that slogans do not contain anti-San Franciso snark or offensive language.
