Long Store Receipts Could Soon Be A Thing Of The Past!

When you go to your local store and they give you a paper receipt that is, what seems like, 10 feet long, do you feel a little bit of guilt every time?

You might not have to worry about that any longer at certain establishments.

A San Francisco Assemblyman has fronted a measure that says any business that earns more than $1 million a year will have to give customers an electronic receipt unless we ask for a paper one.

The bill has cleared its first hurdle in the state legislature.

Paper receipts can't be recycled because they're coated with chemicals.
