In 2018, Elisabeth Milich captured national attention after she disclosed her annual income -- which was $35,621.25.
Milich is a second grade teacher at Whispering Wind Academy in Phoenix, a Title 1 school, which means it has low-income students and receives federal funds to help meet educational goals.
Milich often dips into her own pocket to meet her students' needs.
Milich's story was featured on news outlets across the country and little did she know, a New York man named Ben Adam was watching.
Adam reached out to Milich on Facebook and asked if she needed help purchasing school supplies for her classroom.
She received colored paper, books, paints, paintbrushes, snacks for the kids and more. Adam ended up adopting five more classrooms in addition to Milich's. And last month, he launched a website, classroomgiving.org, to help other teachers who are in need of supplies.
Jack and Carolyn talked to Ms. Milich about her post and Ben's kind heart! Listen below...
