Government cracks down on Spring Breakers still headed to the BEACH

Miami Beach shut down its spring break party this week, declaring it illegal for more than 10 people to gather together and shutting its bars and restaurants in an effort to stymie the spread of the coronavirus. Miami and Fort Lauderdale have cracked down by setting up barricades to block people from getting to the beach. Police were sent out to monitor crowds as well.

Mayors of both cities said citations and arrests were possible for people who continued to congregate.

Restaurants in Fort Lauderdale were shut down to dine-in customers at 5:00 pm on Tuesday. Miami bars and restaurants stopped service at 11:00 pm.

This is what it looked like last weekend while most of the country was practicing " Social Distancing".
