How Stanford Children's Health Is Helping Reduce The Spread Of COVID-19.

As of early April, Stanford Children's Health providers are now performing up to 700 telehealth visits per day to support both COVID-19 evaluations as well non-coronavirus related health care. To put it in perspective, before COVID-19 hit California their hospital was doing 35 virtual visits a day. 

As you can imagine the hospital has ramped up its telehealth initiatives over the past few weeks in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. By seeing more patients virtually, there is less risk for the spread of the virus, decrease emergency room crowding, conserving personal protective equipment (like masks and gowns), and support social distancing.
