North Bay Woman Talks To The Morning Breeze About Her Coronavirus Battle.

58-year-old Stacy Allegro from Novato has been battling coronavirus since mid-March.

She began getting symptoms after her husband returned from a trip to Morocco. Eleven days later she found out she had coronavirus.

Stacy said she felt like she was fighting for her life.

She said her fever was what drove her to pick up the phone and call her doctor. Her fever even hit 103.7 at one point. She sweat through three sets of bed sheets per night while at Kaiser in San Rafael.

Stacy credits her medical team including Dr. Orna Hananel for saving her life...literally. She even posted messages of gratitude on the hospital wall for the staff on the 4th floor. She said the staff wore so many protective layers that she didn't even know what they truly looked like She started using the dry-erase pen to write messages thanking them for everything. She said it was truly the ONLY thing she could do while in isolation.Stacy spent seven days in the hospital.

Stacy is now at her family home but is in isolation. She hasn't seen her husband or mom in a month and, as you can imagine, misses them terribly.
