Six Flags Discovery Kingdom Is Reopening But There Is A Catch!

Six Flags Discovery Kingdom on Thursday announced plans to reopen next month — but with severe limitations.

The Vallejo theme park, which suspended operations on March 13 to help slow the spread of the coronavirus, will welcome guests again on July 2 for a limited-time, animals-only experience.

In other words: No rides yet.

Park officials said that during this reduced-capacity period, they will offer “exclusive, up-close-and-personal animal experiences” that harken back to the park’s early Marine World days during the 1980s when it exclusively relied on educational wildlife adventures — and not scream-inducing roller coasters — to lure customers.

A full park reopening will be announced at a later date.

Jack Kulp and Carolyn McArdle talked about it on the air! Listen below...
