Five years ago, Steve Zwetsch of El Sobrante began a new hobby. That’s when he saw a video of a guitar made from a cigar box, and he was hooked.
At first he would crank out five cigar box guitars a year , and now he’s up to 24. He doesn’t stop at cigar boxes. He’s made guitars out of metal cookie tins, a pool rack, even a bed pan. Does he play the guitars he makes? He sure does.
