Emily Harrington just became the fourth woman to free Yosemite’s El Capitan, and the FIRST woman to accomplish this in under 24 hours.
Only three men have ever free climbed the same route in less than a day. Emily’s journey began at 1:34 AM on November 4th. She finished climbing the massive 3,000 foot granite wall at 10:30 pm.
