To speed up the COVID-19 vaccination rate, you’ll start seeing more vaccination sites that are a bit out of the ordinary, if you can call ANYTHING during the pandemic “ordinary”.
For example, the A’s are in discussions with Alameda County health officials to make the Coliseum parking lot in Oakland a mass vaccination site. The 49ers are in talks to set up the parking lot at Levi’s Stadium for a drive-thru vaccination site. This is happening all over the state.
Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, Petco Park in San Diego, and Cal Expo in Sacramento are all prepping to become high capacity vaccination centers. Fairgrounds in Sacramento, Fresno, and even the Disneyland Resort parking lot in Anaheim are opening up to become vaccination centers.
