You Won't Believe What People Are Paying For East Bay Real Estate

Did you hear what happened when a Berkeley home went on the market recently?

It sold for DOUBLE the list price, and received 29 offers. At first it was a unique occurrence, but these stories are becoming more and more common in that area. One agent said that when his clients see a house for sale in Piedmont or North Berkeley for 1.9 million, they’re not surprised that it would go for 3 million.

Much of it has to do with the “it factor”…a big backyard and great views.

In March alone there have been at least 20 homes that went for $800,000 more than the list price in the East Bay, and six of those sold for at least a million over the asking price.
