Parents Are Experiencing Post Pandemic Separation Anxiety, And It's Normal

Because of the COVID lockdown, parents have gotten used to being around their kids for longer periods of time. Now that many moms and dads are heading back to their workplaces, separation anxiety is starting to set in.

Child Psychologist Erlanger Turner says this is normal, but warns “With the pandemic ending, children are going to be watching cues from parents about how to return to normal life and how they navigate this new world again. It is important to make sure that we are not causing them more worry and anxiety.” He also said the anxiety is only temporary.
