The most “relaxed” airport experience in the Bay Area?

That would be the new Harvey Milk Terminal 1 at SFO. Some even call it “peaceful”. 

The new terminal will cost $2.4 billion when it’s finally completed in 2024. It’s already being opened in phases. The most significant opening took place in May of this year...nearly eight years after ground was broken for the new terminal.

What are the factors will make the new terminal “peaceful”? For starters, flight announcements will be limited to ONLY the gates for which they apply. And the rush to get your things off of the TSA security belt? A thing of the past. The belts will be extended so you won’t need to rush to gather your things and get your shoes back on.
