This is the time of year that the Perseid Meteor Shower comes around once again. The meteor shower will peak early Thursday, August 12th, but the best time to view the shower will be from 11p August 11th through 3am August 12th.
The best place to view the phenomenon is away from city lights. The meteors will come out of the east, and binoculars and telescopes aren’t needed.
The Chabot Space & Science Center will host a viewing party Wednesday night August 11th at 11pm.
