There will be plenty of wine this holiday season. But there will be a shortage of bottles to put it in.
One winemaker said that his winery is completely out of empty bottles. He ordered bottles from China. The container carrying the bottles is stuck on a ship anchored off the Port of Oakland, like so many other products. What makes matters worse is the fact that the bottles are also costing 50% more.
Labels for the bottles are also hard to come by.
