Lots Of Rain & Snow In The Mountains Means A Much Higher Lake Level.

While we were getting pounded with rain here in the Bay Area, Lake Tahoe was getting hit with lots of snow and rain.

Four inches of rain, and up to three feet of snow fell in two days. That all translates into a lake level that’s close to normal….something that hasn’t happened in quite a while. That means that the Truckee River is flowing freely as well.

Enough rain and snow fell last week in the Tahoe Basin to cover 66,000 acres with one foot of water.
