California’s new mask mandate goes into effect today.
Starting today, all California residents will be required to wear masks indoors regardless of their vaccination status.
Of course there are some exceptions. For example, in San Francisco, offices and gyms will not need to require masks if everyone is fully vaccinated.
Marin, Alameda and Contra Costa Counties may also have exemptions to the mask mandate. Best bet is to check with your local jurisdiction, and keep a mask handy just in case.
