Lots of snow in the Sierra, and more is on the way.
The Tahoe area is expecting another two feet of snow over the next few days. And that’s on top of the 14 feet of snow that was dumped there since this weather system moved in about 10 days ago.
Tourists are trapped because most hotels are booked solid. The CHP is delivering food and water to those stuck in thier cars.
Highway 50 finally reopened last night. However, I-80 remains closed in the area. There’s so much snow that Palisades Ski Resort had to close because of safety concerns.
