Meet Taylor Humphrey, a professional baby namer.
You read that correctly. She’s been helping parents name their babies since 2015, and she suggested baby names to 100 sets of parents last year.
For $1,500 she’ll come up with a baby name based on a questionnaire the parents fill out. For $10,000 she’ll create a name based on the parents’ business.
Many times her inspiration comes from street signs, birth announcements and, in some cases, street signs. What would cause parents to consult Ms. Humphrey to begin with? Many new parents just don’t like the names they’ve come up with.
