People Are Paying $500 To See Taylor Swift Even Though She Won't Be Singing

People are paying big bucks to see Taylor Swift. Too bad she won’t be singing.

The 11-time Grammy winner will be speaking at New York University’s graduation ceremony at Yankee Stadium on May 18th. She’ll be getting an honorary doctorate from the university at the same time.

The university forbids students from selling, or in this case, scalping tickets. That’s not stopping some students from selling tickets that may have been set aside for relatives, for upwards of $500.

NYU promises “swift” disciplinary action for people who break the rules.
