Time to wax up the skis and snowboards.
Some of Lake Tahoe’s ski resorts are opening earlier than expected. Kirkwood, which was scheduled to open December 2nd, will open tomorrow. Heavenly and Northstar will open on Saturday as well, six days early. Mt. Rose and Boreal will open today too.
The Lake Tahoe area was blanketed with 14 inches of snow in the upper elevations, and three inches at lake level.
