- This new bottle is produced by British-based company Frugalpac.
- Weighing less than three ounces, this paper bottle is five times lighter than standard glass bottles, which will help reduce fuel use and emissions when transported.
- Frugalpac's product director JP Grogan told CBS News, “The overall carbon footprint is much, much lower on a paper bottle than it is on the equivalent glass bottle. We believe it's up to six times lower.”
- The paper bottle contains a plastic pouch to hold the wine, which doesn’t alter the taste of the wine.
