After 67 years of operation, the iconic Tropicana Las Vegas is closing today, April 2, 2024, marking the end of an era in the gaming and entertainment industry.

The resort, known for its luxury and entertainment, will be demolished to make way for a new Major League Baseball Stadium for the Oakland A's.

The closure reflects Las Vegas' evolution and the need to adapt to modern times.

The Tropicana's rich history, including ties to the mob and hosting famous musicians, will be preserved as the property transitions to a new chapter.

Demolition is scheduled for October.
