Survey Says: These are the Hardest Places to Save Money in America

A recent analysis by Forbes Advisor ranked the best and worst places for saving money in the U.S.

The report identified Detroit-Warren-Dearborn as the best metro area for saving money, with low housing costs but also low hourly living wages.

California, Hawaii, Nevada, Oregon, and Maryland were among the worst places for saving money.

In contrast, North Dakota was ranked as the top state for saving money, with low housing costs.

The analysis also highlighted variations in income and cost of living for professions like teachers and nurses across different states.
