Joni Sledge, a founding member of the 70's disco act Sister Sledge, was found dead Friday in her Phoenix home.
Sledge's passing came as a shock to her family as she showed no prior signs of illness. Her cause of death is currently being investigated.
Sister Sledge is most known for their hit song "We Are Family." Her family posted a message to their group's Facebook page regarding her passing.
