Something out of Oakland has gone viral and people are saying it couldn’t have come at a better time.
It’s a picture of a tree.
What’s so special about this tree is that it’s a tree that was recently chopped down near Lake Merrit and the way that it was chopped down, it sort of looks like a chair. Picture a tree stump with a back on it.
Someone carved an excerpt from Shel Silverstein’s book “The Giving Tree” into the stump which talks about a tree that’s offered years of shade and food and how the tree feels useless until a boy, who says he doesn’t need much, just needs a place to sit and rest.
