You may soon be able to have a pig as a pet in Benicia!
Next week, the city of Benicia will consider an ordinance allowing residents to keep potbellied pigs as pets.
Yes, pigs can be cute but experts warn that they can grow to be 300+ pounds. They won't curl up in your lap and they can be hard on lawns and property and rack up expensive vet bills.
