San Rafael Police rescue a dog from a hot car on Tuesday!

The past couple of days in the Bay Area have been HOT and this is a good time to remind you to PLEASE not leave your pets or kids in the car at ANY time during the day.

On Tuesday police in San Rafael rescued a dog from a very hot car. When police got to the car, it was 156 degrees inside. Just to put it in perspective, it was 88 degrees outside. The officers got "Dexter" out and cooled him off in their patrol car before taking him to a local emergency vet.

No word on what Dexter's owners had to say about it.
