Smart Cane Uses Google Maps & Bluetooth To Help Visually Impaired People

Kursat Ceylan's new smart cane invention is making a difference for people who are blind.

Ceylan is the CEO and co-founder of Young Guru Academy (YGA) and also happens to be blind. His WeWALK cane uses other technology like Google Maps, voice assistance, built-in speakers, and a Bluetooth system that lets you sync to your phone or other devices.

The cane is meant to make the every day lives of people who are visually impaired and blind less difficult. According to WeWALK, nearly 1 in every 25 people are visually impaired and blind and 55% of them are unemployed in the US.
