Although the astronauts didn’t make the launch due to inclement weather on Wednesday (May 27) Kelly Clarkson gave them a proper send-off as she sang the national anthem as the astronauts suited up for the historic SpaceX launch.
In a video, shot at home, Clarkson beautifully sang the Star-Spangled Banner as the video rolled of the astronauts suiting up and walking to the launch pad.
Fans praised Clarkson for her rendition of the song,“Legit got choked up a bit by [Kelly Clarkson] performing the National Anthem. So pumped to see @SpaceX and @NASA #LaunchAmerica!" wrote one fan.
The SpaceX launch has been rescheduled for Saturday (May 29) in the afternoon, no word of if Clarkson is scheduled to sing the national anthem again.
