Nick Jr.'s show, "Blue's Clues," is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year! The show premiered on September 8th, 1996.
Steve, the show's original host, shared a special message dedicated to the children who grew up watching him and his appreciation for all of our help throughout the years.
He began by talking about all the fun things we used to do like help find clues, hang out with Mr. Salt & Mrs. Pepper, etc. Then he talked about his exit and going off to college, how it was difficult for him and how he's come a long way since then.
After reflecting on his journey, Steve addresses the viewers, saying:
"And then look at you and look at all you have done and all you have accomplished in all time. It's just so amazing right? I mean we starred out with clues and now it's what? Student Loans. Jobs. Families. And some of it has been kind of hard, you know? I know you know. I wanted to tell you that I really couldn't have done all of that without your help. In fact, all the help that you helped me with when you were younger is still helping me today. Right now and that's super cool."
And this is where he really got us:
"I just wanted to say that after all these years... I never forgot you. Ever. I'm super glad we're still friends."

Since its start in 1996, Blue's Clues has welcomed two other hosts. Joe, who is Steve's brother and took over when he went to college, and the current host, Josh.
