The soaring cost of food has forced restaurant chefs to get more creative with their menus.

Many restaurants are experimenting with new dishes that let them cut down on expensive ingredients like beef, eggs, or flour.

Others are finding new ways to use 'scraps' such as leftover rolls or the stems from leafy vegetables like collard greens.
