Library Launches Program Where Patrons Pay Fees with Cat Photos

The Worcester Public Library in Worcester, Mass. has launched a unique program for any patrons that have accrued library fees or have lost or damaged books or other items.
Aptly called March Meowness, patrons with deactivated library cards due to fees or lost/damaged materials can have their cards reactivated by bringing in cat photos.
These photos can be photos, drawings or even photos cut from a newspaper or magazine.
Worcester Public Library director Jason Homer said about 400 patrons have had their accounts reactivated thanks to the program.
