Janet Jackson Recalls Wardrobe Malfunction During Performance For Queen Elizabeth: ‘My Pants Split Right In My Booty Crack’

  • Janet Jackson revealed in a recent interview with Vogue that she once suffered a wardrobe malfunction while performing for Queen Elizabeth II in the ‘90s.
  • The mishap involved her iconic Rhythm Nation outfit, with her pants splitting up her backside during the performance. Jackson managed to improvise by never turning her back to the Queen, despite the choreography requiring it.
  • “Sure enough, as soon as I squatted, my pants split right in my booty crack. I couldn’t believe it happened. I thought, ‘Oh my God.’ And then I started feeling air back there, so I knew it had really happened,” Janet explained.
  • This incident adds to a list of onstage malfunctions for the singer, including the infamous 2004 Super Bowl wardrobe malfunction with Justin Timberlake.
