7-Eleven Announces Closures Of More Than 400 Stores

  • More than 400 7-Eleven stores will soon be shuttered.
  • That’s the word from the convenience store’s parent company, Seven & I Holdings, which reports it’s closing 444 7-Elevens because of slowing sales, declining traffic and a drop in cigarette sales.
  • Exactly which stores will be closing – or a timetable for the closures – has not been revealed. There are currently more than 13,000 7-Elevens in the United States, Canada and Mexico, according to the company.
