Musicians Push Congress To Stop Radio Stations From Dodging Royalties?!?

Recording Artists Want Congress To Force Radio Stations To Pay Them For Their Songs

Legendary R&B group Boyz II Men visited Capitol Hill to advocate for the American Music Fairness Act, which would ensure artists are paid when their songs are played on AM/FM radio stations. The bill would also provide smaller radio stations with access to unlimited music for less than $2 a day. Boyz II Men met with key lawmakers to push for the passage of the bipartisan legislation, which has garnered support from various artists, musicians, labels, unions, and broadcast organizations. Over 300 artists, including Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, and MC Lyte, have signed a letter in support of the bill, emphasizing the importance of fair compensation for performers.
