San Francisco has unveiled the nation's first permanent memorial for breast cancer, the Bay Area Young Survivors (BAYS) Breast Cancer Memorial Garden, located in Golden Gate Park. This garden, which is the first new memorial in the park in over 30 years, is dedicated to honoring the lives lost to breast cancer, particularly those who died from metastatic breast cancer.
