Prince's 1987 live film Sign O’ the Times is set to return to IMAX theaters globally for one week starting on Aug. 29. The movie, directed by, and starring Prince, features his new backing band after parting ways with the Revolution. The film includes live performances of songs from the album, as well as scripted scenes, and has been enhanced for the IMAX experience. IMAX will distribute the movie in the U.S., with Pathé handling distribution in other territories worldwide. Private screenings and invite-only events are also planned in New York, Los Angeles, and Minneapolis in August.
