Billy Joel's Motorcycle Shop, 20th Century Cycles, In Oyster Bay, New York, Is Closing After Nearly 15 Years Due To The Singer's Brain Disorder Diagnosis. Joel, who has Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus, announced the closure and plans to auction off his collection of over 75 bikes later this year. The shop, which showcased vintage motorcycles from the '30s to the '60s, was a popular destination for enthusiasts and tourists in the area. Joel opened the shop in 2010 to promote an aesthetic and bring business to downtown Oyster Bay, where part of the street was renamed Billy Joel Way in 2023.
