We can all agree that there is pretty much a Starbucks on every corner here in the Bay Area. But there are some places that people think a Starbucks doesn't belong and one of those places is Yosemite.
13,000 people have signed a Change.org petition and are protesting a Starbucks that would open in the food court in the Yosemite Valley Lodge.
Locals say vanilla lattes and caramel frappuccinos don't belong there. First comes Starbucks, then comes the commercialization of the rest of Yosemite in one big slippery, wet slope of tackiness.
Starbucks says they are opening anyhow.
More to come, we are sure of it!
