The trailer for a documentary on Mr. Rogers is making people so emotional!

The first trailer for Mr. Rogers Documentary has been released and it’s brought back the nostalgia of a simpler time. The kind gentleman that would come in and change his sweater and shoes everyday is relieved on the big screen in the new documentary which includes interviews from cast members from the PBS children’s show, including Elizabeth Seamans (Mrs. McFeely) and François Clemmons (Officer Clemmons).

The documentary will feature archive video and interviews with the show’s producer, Mary Whitmer as well as interviews featuring Rogers himself. The trailer shows how Mr. Rogers didn’t shy away from topics such as divorce, death, assassination, and race relations and how he discussed it in a way children could understand.

You can catch “Won’t You Be My Neighbor” in select theatres June 8th.
