If you spot a car in the Bay Area with a pink license plate, there's a reason for the new plates.
This is actually happening across the entire state. The new pink ribbon license plates were an idea from local activists and breast cancer survivors in Contra Costa County to help raise awareness and money for breast cancer and cervical cancer screenings for low-income women.
The DMV has already started shipping the plates so expect to see them on the roads very soon.
