It always hurts your heart when one of your favorite local mom and pop shops closes it's doors.
This time around, it's Schurra's Fine Confections in San Jose. They've been in business for 105 years and have been a staple on The Alameda since the 1930's.
High labor costs and the difficulty of finding employees were both contributing factors to the decision to close.
The store will close on April 28, 2018.
