Bob Dorough helped a generation of children learn about math through songs. Dorough has passed away at the age of 94.

Dorough was a jazz musician who was very involved in Schoolhouse Rock. He wrote and performed songs like Three Is The Magic Number and My Hero, Zero.

His biography says in 1971, he received a commission to "set the multiplication tables to music." This lead to Schoolhouse Rock that was seen between Saturday morning cartoons for 12 years.

RIP Bob. You will be missed.
