We've heard of a lot of wild animals roaming the streets and neighborhoods in the Bay Area over the years (coyote's, mountain lions, etc.) but this is the first we've heard of a black bear in the Bay Area!
In a Healdsburg neighborhood on Friday morning, one local saw a black bear and called 911 to report the bear as it walked down a sidewalk near Tucker and Fitch streets in the downtown area around 2:13 a.m.
Police arrived and let it roam freely as it wasn't causing any harm. It quickly returned to the forest.
