Usually we are thinking about throwing something on the grill and working on our first tan of the official kickoff to the summer season during the long Memorial Day weekend but if you have a trip to Lake Tahoe planned this weekend, remember to pack your chains!

Yes, chains. 3 feet of snow is in the forecast for the Lake Tahoe region this weekend!
Donner Pass and Echo Summit at 7,000 feet will most likely see rain and hail, but snow is in the forecast for passes at higher elevations.
Highway 120 could see 1 to 2 inches, Highway 108 over Sonora Pass, 2 to 3 inches, Route 4 over Ebbetts Pass 1 to 2 inches and Highway 88 over Carson Pass 1 to 2 inches.
Sunday and Monday should be beautiful and warmer.
